About Andrea Servan

Andrea Servan is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive clinical and assessment experience. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice from the University of Connecticut, and her master’s in social work from Fordham University.

A lifetime dream of helping people in her community manage hardship and process trauma led her to provide psychiatric care to children and their families in outpatient, community-based, and school-based programs. She has extensive experience with psychological assessment and diagnosis of schizophrenia, PTSD, bipolar, borderline, substance use disorder, and more.

Andrea works with minors who come to the United States unaccompanied and connects them with community resources, foster homes, and sponsors while helping them acclimate to the United States and process traumatic experiences.

An immigrant herself, Andrea understands the difficulties of family separation, financial hardships, and losing your support system that come with immigration. She’s also familiar with the challenges of learning a new language and embracing your new home while holding onto your cultural roots.

Andrea’s therapy techniques focus on building rapport with clients and identifying their goals. She’s experienced with populations resistant to therapy and is collaborative and culturally sensitive. She works at the client’s pace to determine how their immigration experience impacts their lives.

A comprehensive psychological evaluation can strengthen your immigration case by helping the court understand how your immigration case affects the physical and mental health of you and your loved ones. Andrea’s goal is to present a holistic view of your case to make the immigration process easier for you to navigate.  Andrea’s empathetic approach will make you feel welcome as you share your story, whether you’re applying for T-visa, U-visa, VAWA visa, political asylum, or an extreme hardship waiver.

Andrea offers immigration psychological evaluations for people of all ages via Telehealth in Connecticut and New York. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
